今年も「盛岡さんさ踊り」が8月1日〜4日に行われますが、「わ踊り」では、観光 客の皆さんも、踊りの輪の中に入って参加できます。定例会では、会員から踊り方に ついての英語での説明のしかたを中心に学びました。
Sansa Dance (Steps)

Start with the basic standing position with your feet just slightly apart. Walk four steps forward starting with your right foot. Your last step should put you back to the basic position. Lift your right foot and place its toe in front of your left foot and back. Then do the same with your left foot in front of your right. Walk forward three steps with your right foot, take a step back with your right foot on your last step, lift your left leg at a 90-degree angle and skip 3 times. Walk forward 3steps with your left foot, take a step back with your left foot on your last step.

Lift your right leg at a 90-degree angle and skip three times. Return to basic position. Step forward at a 45-degree angle on your left with your right foot, then back to basic position. Lastly, lift your left foot on its toe again to touch the side of your right foot, then do the same for your right foot, and finish with your left foot again.
